Poster presentations scheduled for Friday, June 25 and Saturday, June 26 in Los Angeles
Conshohocken, PA, June 22, 2010 – NuPathe Inc., a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialization of branded therapeutics for diseases of the central nervous system announced today that the Company will present the results of a new study and a subgroup analysis from its Phase III pivotal trial for Zelrix™, a single-use transdermal sumatriptan patch being developed for the treatment of migraine, at the 52nd Annual Scientific Meeting of the American Headache Society.
The poster presentation entitled, “Pharmacokinetics of Oral and Transdermal Sumatriptan During Acute Migraine and Non-Migraine Periods: Incidence of the Migraine Effect” will be presented by Angel S. Angelov, MD, senior medical director at NuPathe, on Friday, June 25, 2010 from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. PDT. This subgroup analysis evaluates the impact of migraine on drug absorption after transdermal delivery compared to oral delivery.
On Saturday, June 26, 2010, the poster presentation entitled, “Efficacy of Zelrix, a Novel Iontophoretic Transdermal Sumatriptan Patch, in the Treatment of Acute Migraine in Patients with Nausea” will be presented by Elliott A. Schulman, MD, from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Dr. Schulman practices neurology at Lankenau Hospital in Wynnewood, Pa. and is an Adjunct Clinical Professor of Neurology, Jefferson School of Medicine in Philadelphia.
The 52nd Annual Scientific Meeting of the American Headache Society is being held Thursday, June 24 through Sunday, June 27, 2010 at the HyattRegencyCenturyPlaza in Los Angeles, Calif.
